Bluefins Sushi & Sake Bar offers exceptionally fresh seafood dishes so beautifully presented they are like art on a plate. For the uninitiated, dining with a large group is the perfect way to explore sushi because everyone shares. It offers the opportunity to sample many different menu items without being married to a dish you might not like. Bluefins also has a creative cocktail menu. The Tokyo negronis ($12 each), a delightfully refreshing mixture of Knob Creek bourbon, Campari and Tozai plum sake come highly recommended. It's not often that you have a perfect dining experience, but that is just what Del Mar Bar & Bistro offered on our recent visit. Every menu item is creative and well thought out, not to mention delicious. For starters we really enjoyed the blood orange and roasted beet salad ($13) and the smoked salmon latke ($9) on the specials page. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. The steak salad ($17) consisted of mixed baby greens were tossed with slightly spicy red pepper vinaigrette and piled high on the plate along with grape tomatoes and crumbled blue cheese. The steak was rubbed with coffee and grilled to perfection. The filet ($32) was simply wonderful as well. It was served over mashed potatoes liberally laced with pieces of thick cut bacon and topped with slender haricot verts, micro arugula, frizzled leeks, grated Manchego cheese and truffle oil. - Laurie Higgins, Cape Cod Times

A local landmark since 1968, the Chatham Squire features a vibrant bar with walls covered in vanity license plates from across the country. Businessmen and builders rub elbows in a casual setting of wide-plank wood floors and beamed ceilings. The menu features traditional New England seafood and pub fare at prices more reasonable than one might expect in an upscale town. The Chatham Cioppino, made with local shellfish, is fabulous.

The quaint Cottage Street Bakery, which has been around for 30 years, serves local Beanstock coffee and fresh, homemade pastries, preservatives not included. Yummy lunch sandwiches, soups, and salads are welcome relief from fried fare, but it's the desserts that most delight, from wedding cakes and pies, to a killer called the dirt bomb.

Located off Main Street in a converted church, the Impudent Oyster has an inventive menu that transforms standard dishes into works of art. Devils on Horseback - an appetizer of Cape sea scallops wrapped in bacon with onions, garlic, and parsley, served on toast points with a lemon butter sauce -will always start the evening off right.

Everything is made fresh daily at Marion's Pie Shop using a family pastry crust recipe that has been passed down for generations. The bakery sits next to the owner's home, where the business began with chicken pot pies in 1947. Cranberry peach praline, bumbleberry, and blueberry peach are among the unique offerings.
